We’ll pollution in Delhi has been a matter of great concern for the people and the Government of India (Cricketers wear pollution masks during India). It can have a devastating effect on the health of the local people but no one would have thought that it can also become a problem for our sports authorities. As scheduled, the third test match between India and Sri Lanka was being played at Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi, but the Sri Lankan players seemed to be in great trouble because of the smoggy air. They were seen coughing and experiencing breathing issues, after which they came on the field wearing masks. The match was also paused for small intervals several times during the Indian Innings.
Cricketers wear pollution masks during India
It’s for the first time in the history of cricket that any game was held up because of pollution. This interruption not only disturbed the Indian captain but also forced him to declare the Indian Innings. It’s important to mention here that The Indian Team is ahead of Sri Lankan Team by 1-0 in this test series and it looked in a better situation in this match as well.
Sri Lanka Delhi Test Match
The Sri Lankan Team is being trolled all over the internet for this act. People on Twitter and other social media platforms believe that Sri Lankans are simply afraid that they might lose this test match, so they are making such silly excuses. Here are some selected tweets we have collected from twitter which show people’s opinion on this act of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team…
What Sri Lanka has taught world cricket…when You are losing, ask your physio to run in the field to kill time. When you out, cheat DRS from dressing room. When you cant bowl, cough and lie down. and when you can’t perform, hide your face behind a mask #INDvSL

Precisely. Lankan players laughing and clapping as they walked in. If it is too polluted to field and bowl, it should be too polluted to bat as well. Sri Lanka should forfeit both innings, ideally. #IndvSL https://t.co/saE1kfXoUr

Kohli on 240.
Sri Lanka say they can’t field because of pollution in Delhi.
This alone may drive us to reduce pollution.
Lung diseases are OK.
But, because of us Kohli couldn’t get a triple century!

He: Where are you from?
She: Delhi & you?
She: You Idiot, Delhi is doing something for fog now. Don’t tease.
He: I mean, I’m from Sri Lanka.#INDvsSL

India forced to declare because Sri Lanka players cannot breathe due to high smog in Delhi.
The umpires coming from England & West Indies have no problem, the batsmen, Jadeja & Saha have no problem. 5000 spectators have no problem.
Giving up even without a fight.
