Apps Banned By Indian Govt – List of Chinese Apps Banned In India

India Today recently published a report containing information released by the Union Home Ministry of India. The information was clarified by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). It contains a list of applications that work on Android and iOS Smartphones. These applications are listed as a Chinese Spyware and hence may be a threat to your privacy. All Army and defense services officials are advised by the Government to immediately uninstall these applications if they are using any of these.

Private information is private, for big agencies, high-grade officials or any normal person.

Truecaller AppBlacklisted 42 Malicious Apps (Android and iOS)

The list also included the most commonly used Caller Identification application TRUE CALLER in it, after which the TRUE CALLER officials gave a clarification by stating that, “In response to certain reports, we would like to clarify that we are a Sweden based company. We are not sure why the app is on this list, but we’re investigating. TrueCaller is not a malware, and all our features are permission-based and are disabled by default.”
